Its all vegetarian and they have a forum

I want to start cooking really healthy meals..?

I need to start cooking healthy food, i love Salmon and chicken but never no what to put with them

We are now doing the following:

1. At your grocery store, buy the sealed PRE-COOKED meats that come is small packages such as the following. You can make two or three meals out of them:

Beef tips with gravy,
Roast with gravy,
Pork roast,
Chicken,
Baked ham,
Pork chops,
Meatloaf,
etc.

Just heat in your microwave; directions are on the packages. You will find these packages in the cold section (not the freezer). Ask a clerk to help you find these. They are delicious.

Use these for your meat dish with a side dish or two of canned or frozen vegetables, beans, potatoes or sweet potatoes which can all be found on shelves or in the freezer section and they are already cooked.
.
You can now buy bags of different flavors of precooked rice that you put into your microwave for a minute or two. These are on shelves at the grocery store. We like the chicken flavored best of all. Have a clerk help you find them.
.
Real mashed potatoes that come in a bag…add water, butter, milk. Delicious. Read the directions.
.
Buy top brand cans of stew for each person. Serve with cornbread, crackers, or toast.
.
Soup and a grilled (fried) cheese sandwiches. Go to this video to see how to make a quick grilled cheese sandwich:

.
You can buy all types of salad greens in large packages now. Buy the ones that have been pre-washed. Add your own dressing which you can buy in bottles.
.
2. The top brands of microwave frozen dinners are very good now. These come in single servings or in family sized bags. Follow directions. Look for the words "No Preservatives" marked on the box or package.
Just add a canned or frozen vegetable as a side dish.

Top brands of dinners that are found on shelves. No fridge needed. Add water, microwave. These are good to take to school or work. Follow directions on the containers.
.
3. Video On How To Cook A Rib Eye Steak on Stove Burner (turn on your sound), click this link:

http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-make-rib-eye-steak

.
4. Supermarket deli’s have pre roasted chickens, fried chickens, roast beef, and side dishes. You can stop in on the way home and grab a quick dinner to take home. I buy their roasted chicken often…they are delicious.
.
5. Buy a crock pot. You put everything into the pot in the morning, set it on low for 8 hours, and your dinner will be ready for you when you come home in the evening! I kid you not. Be sure to read the instruction booklet.
There is a recipe booklet that comes with the crock pot. You can buy crock pots at places such as your grocery store, Walmart, and etc.

Here are 1,160 crock pot recipes:

So I’m starting a new life style, or at least trying to so that I can look good and be healthy so I’m looking for a good cook book with easy to make healthy food. I’m not very good at cooking when the recipe if full of weird words and such, so I need a book that doesn’t expect you to know what, saute, grate or any other cooking word means. Also I would love it to be things that easy to make with things you would normally find in a house where we don’t normally cook. In other words, something that doesn’t always force me to go to the store because I hate having to ask what something in a book is to the people at the store. Basically I need a very user friendly cook book.

I don’t mind cookbooks. They are a good alternative when you DO know how to cook.
I think that cookbooks don’t explain enough, especially when you have a hard idea what you’re doing. I would strongly advise watching cooking shows or finding recipes online. Sometimes recipes have how-to’s that describe every step and make your life so much easier.
For TV Shows, I would say Emeril Green on Planet Green Channel would be great for you. The recipes are simple, savory, and delicious. Sometimes he just has these really creative ways of doing things that blow me and everyone who eats at my house away. They’re so simple and delicious, and they’re not super-difficult.
As for online recipes, definitely go to www.allrecipes.com. You can search something like "pie crust" and you’ll find a step by step description on how to make the crust, prepare the ingredients, and make it in the oven. There are also a lot of good cooks on there who make good commentary on recipes and give me inspiration all the time as a cook.
If you would really like a book, there’s a book called "The Absolute Beginner’s Cookbook" that blows me away. It’s really awesome. I read it and it has such good simple recipes- here is the link to it.

I also like this book called "Cooking for the Clueless." It also comes with a webpage that tells you all about it- here is the link to it.

Cooking Kids

Everything revolves around the kitchen. People are naturally drawn to this room of the house and kids are no exception. Whether its watching a parent or adult role model cook or getting the opportunity to help prepare a meal, children welcome the opportunity to be in the kitchen where the action is.

Teaching and allowing little ones to cook and help prepare meals is a great way to help them develop an appreciation for a variety of foods and tastes. Kids are more apt to eat what they have been allowed to help prepare. So if you have the time, and in some cases the patience, you should take the time to show your little ones how to cook. And just think, the day will come when you will be invited to their house for a meal. By creating a solid foundation as a child, you will be assured of a great meal. Until then, find some time to show your little ones the fundamentals of cooking, no matter how simple the meal or dish is.

These no bake quick recipes for kids will provide them some scrumptious desserts and healthy treats. The kids will have fun and you can relax while the kids have fun preparing their own treats.

Find yourself Right at Home in the Kitchen….

If you find yourself right at home in the kitchen, perhaps a chef career would be right up your alley. When the thought of a chef career comes to mind, it may project thoughts of slaving over a hot, smelly grill, flipping burgers and hearing endless orders shouted through a loud speaker. While that may be the scenario for some chefs, there are actually many different options for this occupation.

Cooks for fast food and restaurant chains are always in demand because quick employee turnover is almost guaranteed. Many high school students take on these less-paying jobs solely as a summer gig. Others use the opportunity to bring in income until a more profitable job is found. However, restaurant, fast food and short order cooks are still categorized within the chef career spectrum and having the skill of producing high quality, tasty food is a talent that not everyone has. For more resources please login on to www.cajuns-recipes.com. Everyone has to begin somewhere, and working for one of these kitchens provides cooking experience, looks good on resumes, and can act as a jumping off point for beginning a chef career.

If baking will be your forte in your chef career, perhaps a job at a cafeteria or nursing home would be a good job selection. While fast-food workers are constantly frying up and scooping out the same food products daily at a lickety-split pace, an institution kitchen is a more relaxed atmosphere where a variety of traditional, slightly more healthy dishes are prepared. For instance, many cafeteria kitchens designate two or three items in which an employee is responsible for preparing and baking daily, such as a cook who makes bread products, one who creates casseroles, and others who hand-bread and roast chicken. Having a set food prep schedule gives a cook or chef the opportunity to ease into their specialty and, over time, perfect their craft.  After a few years of experience, it may be possible to advance to a head chef position at a prestigious eatery, such as a steak house or hotel restaurant. This chef career is a bit more stressful, as you are not only in charge of a kitchen full of employees; you are also required to insure the food going out to the paying customers is first-rate and superlative. A chef career at this high status will pay a higher income because cooking skills must be paramount and management skills proficient.

Possibly the most sought-after chef career is as a personal or private household chef. You should also visit at www.atkins-diets-recipes.com. To be selected as a personal chef because of your impeccable cooking skills, creative dishes and flawless meal presentations is the height of honor for a chef after years of hard work and practice.
If you are considering a chef career, knowing how to cook is not enough. You must perfect your craft and stand out from all the rest who are your competition. Enrolling in a vocational school which provides cooking instructions or even a specialty college or institution could help mold you into the cooking expert that will send you on your way to the world of chef careers.
