Should I buy a cook book to eat healthier?

I am an amateur cook. I don’t really know too much but I’d like to learn how to cook simple healthy meals. I was wondering if a cook book would teach me how to do that. Learn what products to buy, and how to prepare nutritional dishes, etc. I just want to eat healthier.

Ryan, you can go with a cook book, but you’ve got to realize in this digital age it’s hard to get the latest recipes and cooking tips past the printing time of a book; plus, you’ve got to consider you’ll have to shell out money for the printed material–the book–that will inevitably get outdated in no time.

You should consider looking at online recipe sites and the sort–it’s inherently more updated and free more often than not.

In fact, try plusrecipes.com, and they have some health-conscietious food sections, like the grilled vegetables section:

Hope this helps!

Enjoy!

The Internet. Just whatever is available online and what I have on my mind, including the inclusion of relevant sites, like the one cited above, the development of which came about by me; I hope it’s useful. Helping people get the relevant info they want is great.

0 Review: Oriental Express Recipe Book Weight Watchers Francesca DeeI am very grateful to Weight Watchers for sending me the ‘Oriental Express’ Recipe Cookbook to review and I am VERY impressed! I had a sneaky look at this book in my Weight Watchers class before it was released and wanted it straight away! I love Oriental food and have always wanted to cook Chinese dishes at home.

I have always wanted to cook Chinese at home but thought it would involve lashings of oil – Weight Watchers have created this cook book and erased my doubts. It appears you can have it all; Chinese food the Weight Watchers way!

A must have for any Weight Watchers following fan of Oriental Food! I will be cooking from this recipe book very soon – so stay tuned for more uploads! – Francesca. x

To get your hands on a copy of this book it retails at £8.95 and is available from your local Weight Watchers meeting or through ‘At Home’ by calling; 08456 788 999
