0 How to Cook Steamed White Rice (Gohan) with a Rice CookerRice is the staple of Japan, so most Japanese have a rice cooker at home and we eat rice in almost every meal.

Using a rice cooker is simple and effective way to cook rice, so here I will show you how! If you use a rice cooker, you don’t have to watch the rice cooker once you start it! So meanwhile, you can cook other dishes.

Note: Japanese rice is short grain rice and gets sticky when it is cooked. So, make sure you don’t use long grain rice because it is drier and doesn’t stick together.

chicken with rice and vegetables the healthy way

0 chicken with rice and vegetables the healthy wayhow to make a simple and delicious chicken with rice and mixed vegetables

Ingredients:
2 cups of white rice (it can also be substitute with brown rice)
1 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1-2 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts ( you can substitute it with beef, shrimp, or pork)
2 eggs
Frozen mixed vegetables
6-7 tablespoons soy sauce
Black pepper
sesame seed

Start with the rice, its great if you have some left over already made white rice. Other wise 2 cups of uncooked white rice, add 3 cups of water, sprinkle pure ground black pepper, 1 & 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt 1-2 EVOO. Bring it to a boil, cover the pot with the lid and cook for 15-20 mins. In the mean time work on your chicken cut it in to small cubes… spray the skillet PAM so the chicken wouldn’t stick to your skillet, place the chicken in the skillet and cook. The rice should be done before or around the same time when the chicken is done cooking. Gently stir in the cooked rice with the chicken ( u may need to separate the rice, if it’s a lil clumpy) leave a lil space in the middle and scramble 2 eggs and 6-7 tablespoons soy sauce, sesame seeds, add a drop or two evoo ( while blending everything put the mixed vgitables in a boiling water for 1-2 mins, then strain the water) add the mixed veggie to the rice, add a lil more soy sauce if need to but make sure to taste it 1st cuz its very saulty. Stir thoroughly to blend all flavors, when done its ready to serve!!
